Job Description

About the Role
We are looking for Heritage and Community Advisor to join the team on site working on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will be responsible for supporting ongoing mining operations by facilitating respectful engagement with Traditional Owners, supporting the heritage management processes, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across community, government, and industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement – build effective relationships with Traditional Owner groups, local communities and other stakeholders to support project approvals and ongoing operations.
  • Heritage Agreement Compliance – ensuring mining operations comply with the sitewide Heritage Agreement, including advising the Company on any concerns or breaches.
  • Stakeholder Management – work with the Company on the implementation and review of suitable Stakeholder Engagement and Management Plans.
  • Stakeholder Risk Assessment and Mitigation – conduct assessment of stakeholder risks related to business activities and develop action plans to address potential concerns.
  • Documentation and Reporting – maintain accurate records of stakeholder engagement processes, including any regulatory submissions, communications and project milestones, ensuring the status of approvals and compliance is reported to senior leadership.
  • Heritage Notices, heritage surveys, site clearances, and cultural heritage management activities – responsible for co-ordinating these activities.
  • Stakeholder Obligations Register ownership – Ensure obligations register in place to manage key agreements, commitments, approvals etc.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations, or heritage management.
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural heritage, particularly within Western Australia.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 (WA) or updated frameworks).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain respectful relationships across diverse groups.
  • Experience in the Mining and Exploration fields.
