Job Description
About the Role We are looking for Superintendent Projects and Engineering to manage the team on site on an 8/6 roster. You will provide leadership and accountability for engineering, capital projects, asset condition management, and maintenance planning systems across the operation. You are also responsible for the full life cycle management of capital projects, establishing and maintaining asset reliability frameworks, and owning the work management and planning processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of maintenance and improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full life cycle delivery of capital projects from concept, scoping, business case development, approval, execution, commissioning, and close-out.
Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned to operational and strategic priorities.
Establish and maintain governance processes for capital project control including scope management, cost tracking, scheduling, and risk management.
Develop and manage the site capital portfolio, ensuring prioritisation aligns with reliability, compliance, and production outcomes.
Own and drive asset condition management frameworks, including condition monitoring, inspection strategies, and defect elimination processes.
Ensure critical assets have defined condition monitoring programs and that emerging risks are identified and managed proactively.
Lead reliability improvement initiatives through structured analysis of failures, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
Establish and manage reliability data systems, ensuring accurate capture, analysis, and reporting of asset performance metrics.
Provide regular reporting on asset health, reliability trends, and improvement initiatives to site leadership.
Drive data quality and standardisation within CMMS (Pronto or equivalent) to support effective decision making.
Own the site work management process including planning, scheduling, backlog management, and execution discipline.
Ensure all work is correctly scoped, prioritised, and aligned to risk, production impact, and compliance requirements.
About You
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline) – preferred.
Trade background with significant experience – acceptable alternative.
Current “C” Class driver’s licence (essential).
Minimum 10 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry.
Demonstrated experience in engineering, maintenance, and capital project delivery roles.
Experience leading planning and scheduling functions.
Proven track record in improving asset reliability and project outcomes.
