Job Description
Focus Minerals is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for an 8/6 FIFO roster. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will support leaders and team members, and assist with implementing HR strategy to build a high-performing, engaged team.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and support investigations, disciplinary matters and grievances, ensuring all documentation, outcomes and registers are completed and stored correctly.
Provide consistent, practical and fair HR advice to managers across all people-related matters, helping them navigate issues confidently.
Review, update, develop and integrate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance, alignment with best practice and clear guidance for the business.
Stay current with HR legislation, the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards, applying this knowledge to mitigate risk and support compliance.
Coordinate and support the performance review process, ensuring bi-annual appraisals are completed, documented and followed up appropriately.
Act as a champion of FML’s values and culture, promoting positive behaviours and a supportive workplace environment.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and facilitate change-of-conditions letters in a timely manner.
Ensure all employee data in HRIS is current and accurate, completing quarterly audits to maintain system integrity.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Degree qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with ELMO is highly desired.
Strong understanding of relevant Federal and State HR legislation and compliance requirements.
Broad generalist HR experience, with the capability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on operational levels.
Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of employment law and contemporary HR best practices.
Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
High level of discretion with the ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy principles.
